Steeking Workshop with Fair Isle expert, Mary Henderson
SATURDAY 8th FEBRUARY 2020 10am - 1pm
Steeking is a term that fills many knitters with dread but Mary Henderson will show you that there is no need to be scared!
During this 3 hour class, you will start with cutting a steek on a Fair Isle sample, getting the (not so) scary bit over and done with. You will then learn how to knit a steek for yourself. Mary will have samples of steeked knitwear on hand to show you what can be achieved.
Some experience of fair isle/stranded colourwork and knitting in the round is preferable.
All materials will be provided. If you have your own needles that you prefer to use for knitting in the round (DPNs or magic loop is fine), please feel free to bring them. We'll confirm which size before the class. Otherwise, a set of DPNs can be borrowed on the day.
