Fair Isle Knitting with Mary Henderson SATURDAY 11th MAY 10am-3pm
SATURDAY 11th MAY 2019 10am - 3pm
Come and learn how to knit fair isle wrist warmers with Mary Henderson, well known fair isle expert and designer, to get you started on your stranded colourwork journey. Class sizes are small to ensure that Mary can give you plenty of attention.
Yarn and needles to use on the day will be provided, as will tea, coffee and cake/biscuits. You will need to provide your own lunch so either bring a packed lunch or a visit to the nearby shops/cafes is well worth it.
Attendees of the course will receive a 10% discount in the shop on the day.
Skills required: Attendees should be able to cast on/off and do knit/purl stitches. Experience of knitting in the round is a plus but not essential.
Equipment required: Provided on the day
Homework prior to the course: None
Next Step: After this course you may be interested in one of Mary's other knitting classes, for example our Christmas Baubles class. We are also planning to run a steeking course next year which may be of particular interest after learning to do fair isle knitting. Or perhaps you would like to try your hand at one of our crochet courses with Janet Friel.
A few T's & C's:
Please note that we need a minimum of 2 attendees in order to run the course.
We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations with less than 2 week's notice. This is in order to give us a chance to fill the space. If you cancel at less than 2 week's notice and we are able to fill your space, we can offer you a transfer to the next available course date.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course due to illness or such like, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and either refund you or transfer you to the next available course date, depending on your preference.
