Alyssum Cardigan Pattern
A pretty crochet cardigan, perfect for layering in spring, summer and autumn.
Using simple stitches and a seamless construction, this cardigan is almost as effortless to make as it is to wear.
XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)
To fit chest: 76 (86, 97, 107, 117, 127, 137) cm / 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54) in
Finished chest measurement: 82 (92, 102, 114, 123, 133, 142) cm / 32.5 (36.5, 40.5, 45, 48.5, 52.5, 56) in
Designed to be worn with approx 5 cm/2 in ease at chest.
4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6) x 100g balls of 4 ply yarn of 400m/436yd per 100g
3.5mm hook (US E), 2.5mm hook (US B/C)
9 buttons 1 cm diameter
Needle and thread
18 sts and 11 rows in V stitch to 10cm/4in using 3.5mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension.)
Basic stitches, working in back loops, working into row ends, working in rounds, short rows
Top down set in sleeve worked seamlessly. Worked in pieces to armhole then joined and body worked as one piece. Sleeve caps are formed using short rows (fully explained in pattern)
