Saturday 17th November: An Introduction to Sock Knitting with Mary Henderson
SATURDAY 17th November 2018 10am - 3pm
Come and learn how to knit a top-down miniature sock with Mary Henderson to get you started on your sock knitting journey. Knitting a miniature sock means that you will be able to learn all the basic techniques you need to go home and start on a pair of socks "for real". Class sizes are small to ensure that Mary can give you plenty of attention.
Yarn and a set of double pointed needles (DPNs) to use on the day will be provided, as will tea, coffee and cake/biscuits. You will need to provide your own lunch so either bring a packed lunch or there are plenty of nearby shops/cafes that are well worth a visit.
Attendees of the course will receive a 10% discount in the shop on the day.
Skills required: Suitable for knitters who are able to cast on and do knit/purl stitches. Experience of knitting in the round is a plus but not essential.
Equipment required: Provided on the day
Homework prior to the course: None
Next Step: After this course you may like to try one of Mary's other knitting courses, for example Fair Isle kniting now you will be feeling confident knitting in the round. Or perhaps you would like to try a crochet class.
